Take your time. They need You to buy a car. They will get tired.

Information and Timing
Arrive at the car dealership before noon and make sure you have eaten a meal.. You may also want to bring some snacks and drinks. Your goal is to wait them out. You don't want to be hungry and salesmen will. Have the patience to ask for a lower price without making outrageous demands. Salespeople will get tired of going back and forth to their manager.

Also the best day of the year to buy a car is the last Saturday of the year. A number of reasons for this: The management is very interested in adding even one more vehicle to the final sales numbers of the month and year. And the salespeople and managers have suffered through the holidays since early November and declined from there over the reset of the year. Believe me, the last few days of the year are the best day to by a car. However, if you are prepared with print out model and pricing information and knowledge of what you want, then the last Saturday is best.

You'll want to know the models of the make you want to purchase and have a print out of what you want to buy and a print out showing the value of your trade-in vehicle. Buy something off the lot of last years models.
